We encourage our members to share the task of picking up CSA vegetables with other shareholding neighbors.  This helps to minimize traffic in the neighborhoods of the distribution sites and can help folks who don’t own cars or are unable to do one of the pickups to trade pickups.

In the past, we have offered an alternative pickup site in Arlington for those using public transportation and/or bicycle to pick up their share–shareholders wanting to take advantage of this should contact Jane directly.

CSA shareholders who opt-in to be part of the Ride Share map each year agree to have their contact information recorded on a private on-line Ride Share map that is just for Shared Harvest CSA and just for this purpose. The map is made available to all Shared Harvest shareholders. The map makes it easy to identify and contact other shareholders about ride sharing for the distributions.
